Paintings [2013-2020]
Brutaliste, 2020 - This series addresses the complete dissolution of pictorial representation down to the most minimalist form. Only the essential remains. This creates endless repetition.
Zoom, 2017-2020 - Reality decomposed into pixels allows the gaze to shift from the obvious to the essential. Starting from an initial reworked photograph, the final pixelated image was transcribed onto canvas through painting.
Googled Colors, 2013 - By using ‘open source’ images that raise the question ‘what constitutes an image today?’ and what its status is, a new visual universe is created by juxtaposing these ‘collages’ with a block of monochrome paint that expresses its own chromatic state through text reminiscent of conceptual art.
L'Englaciation 2015 - This series expresses a desire to project a general feeling, a spatial sensation of cold through bluish chromaticity. It is conceived primarily as an immersive sensory experience in a given space, raising questions in relation to the illusion of bodily senses.
